Buy two eco-friendly cleaning products

Why should you do this?
Traditional cleaning products frequently include hazardous chemicals that can affect both the environment and human health. Cleaning supplies can cause eye and throat irritation and headaches. Numerous studies have highlighted the increased susceptibility of cleaners to negative health impacts on the skin and respiratory tract (Gerster et al., 2014). Some of these products emit harmful chemicals, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which evaporate at room temperature (American Lung Association, 2022). These VOCs contribute to environmental pollution (Nazaroff et al., 2004). Choosing eco-friendly cleaning products helps minimize exposure to toxic substances and reduces the pollution and negative health impact associated with conventional cleaning practices.

What is the goal and how to achieve it?
The goal for this week is to research and find two cleaning products that are better both for the environment and for your body. Look for cleaning products that are labeled as environmentally friendly and non-toxic. You can also create your own cleaning solutions by using simple ingredients like baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, and essential oils.

Side bonus:
You will not only be helping the environment but also be protecting yourself from long-termharm done to your body by the chemicals present in conventional cleaning products.
